The Montenegro Chess Federation (MCF), under the patronage of the Mediterranean Chess Association (MCA), the Ministry of Sports of Montenegro and the Municipality of Budva organize MONTENEGRO OPEN & MEDITERRANEAN OPEN & WOMEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2026.
Tournament consist:
OPEN “A” – Mediterranean Championships 2026
for players rated 2000 and more rating points
OPEN “B”
for players rated below 2000 rating points
Mediterranean Rapid Championship 2026
U14 & U20 – 8th July 2026
Open Blitz Tournament

The tournament will be held in Budva, Srednja mjesovita skola “Danilo Kis” starting on 4th July till the 11th July 2026.
Participation
Players from all countries can participate in the Open Tournament (Open A & Open B).
For players from countries that are members of the Mediterranean Chess Association (MCA), Organizer will cover the accommodation costs in double room with full board for one invited player (man or woman), from each country, who must be registered by the National Federation.
