Invitation

Montenegro Chess Federation (MCF) and the European Chess Union (ECU) have the honor to invite all the National Federations members of the European Chess Union to participate in the EUROPEAN JUNIOR CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 (OPEN & GIRLS), to be held at Hotel Grand, Cetinje, Montenegro, from 5th August to 16th August 2026.

The Championship will be organized by the Chess Federation of Montenegro, under the auspices of the European Chess Union (ECU)

Participation

2.1 Each National Federation can register one (1) invited player born on or after 1st January 2006 in one of the categories, open or girls.
2.2 The players placed 1-3 in the 2025 European Youth Championship (open and girls) U18 have the right to participate as invited players.
2.3 In addition to the players mentioned at 2.1 and 2.2, ECU member federations shall have the right to send unlimited numbers of the additional players in both categories.
2.4 All registrations must be submitted through National Federations until deadline 5th June 2026.
After the deadline, for every late registration participant must pay penalty of 100 EUR.
